When Katherine's mother died, she found herself alone. With few close friends, an unfulfilling job, and a house filled with painful memories, she uprooted her lackluster life to flip the family estate in Ireland into a bed and breakfast.   

Unfortunately, she finds more than just an aging castle and an estranged grandmother awaiting her. Blood feuds, family secrets, and the obligatory castle ghost her two lead Katherine to call in Dr. Deittman and his Investigators...which only seems to make matters worse. 

That’s what Eli Gehring wants to tell his wife every time she asks him, “what the hell is wrong with you?” But, of course, he can’t do that. There’s no way she would understand him, no one would. How could they? He’s already lived with his horrible curse for most of his life, and if he could just get his meds then maybe he could fix everything—he could save his marriage and keep his daughter in his life.    

But medication costs money, and money requires a job. Desperate times call for desperate measures and Eli decides to accept a potentially dangerous job with the renowned Doctor Lennard Deittman. Five thousand dollars is five thousand dollars, after all. And besides, what’s the worst that can happen in a haunted asylum filled with researchers and psychics?
